Notable Neon

Who doesn’t love a good jumpsuit? I personally would rock one every day of the week if I could. If I’m being honest about this design though, it was literally a last minute idea that came out of nowhere. I had been sitting on the bright neon fabric for nearly a year because I couldn’t figure out what to make with it. I purchased it online from Fabric.com I’d say mistakenly because I thought it was a different color. I had no idea it was so bright! I quickly dismissed it to my ever growing fabric collection and didn’t think about it again until recently.

The pattern I used is McCall’s M7099 which is one I used to design a red jumpsuit that I wore to a fashion show I showcased a collection for a few years ago. I really love that the pattern is easy to follow and allows me to create my designs very quickly. I’d say be careful to measure yourself and cut the right size as the slightest deviation can result in a jumpsuit that is too big or too loose…and nobody wants that.

I’ll definitely use it to make more designs in the future. Next time I might switch it up a bit and make a maxi dress using this pattern’s bodice. Stay tuned… 😉
