Mixed, Matched, Reversed

If you haven’t noticed by now I love to design with bright colors and bold prints. Every now and then I’ll get brave and play around with different fabric prints and patterns. In my opinion you have to be a true creative with real vision to pull off a design with a successful print mixing scheme.

I used Mimi G’s Simplicity Pattern 1283 (again 😉) & my own altered version of Simplicity Pattern 8086 for this 3 piece collection. As usual I went against the recommended fabric types listed on the back for the packages, instead opting for a couple of Cotton Duck Fabric options at my local Walmart. Did ya notice the top is reversible? That’s right…4 outfits 2 pieces. I mean does it really get any better? I had a lot of fun creating this set. It actually came out better than I imagined. I’ve been inspired to make more reversible sets in the very near future.
