The PinStripe Type
When it comes to style I like to go against the grain. I'm nontraditional in a sense that my garments are usually made with fabrics that are versatile. This dress for example was made with a pinstripe suit fabric. I bought mine at a local fabric store but you can try this one → Pinstripe Suit Fabric. The end result is a refined, yet casual look that is extremely summer-friendly.
The pattern I used was Simplicity Pattern 8124. I made View A which consisted of only three pieces. You'll also need elastic. Though the instructions were easy to follow, this garment was so easy to figure out that I really didn't need them. There were no fit issues as I chose my size according to Simplicity's online Measurement Guide.
All in all I was very pleased with this pattern and even more pleased with how cute my dress turned out. I am definitely making more of these but next time I'm adding pockets! :-)
